What is Mime?

Mime is expression or communication of emotions, thoughts, ideas, or story's through body gestures and facial expressions without any spoken words.

The reality is that we are moved by what we see. So with all mimes we should be aware of the impact that it will have on others. Its a powerful ministry that is portrayed throughout the bible.

Mimes entertain, communicate, and worship and in all of those elements they must give God the glory when ministering in front of others. They are essentials ministers of the Gospel in silent form.

When you are able to capture someones attention you then have a window of opportunity to share the gospel in a unique way that they will remember for the rest of the life.

It is a known fact that we retain more of what see then what we hear. By being a mime and walking in silence you see that you are able to take all the self out and let Jesus do his thing. When a mime is able to connect with the audience by expressing feels that they other wise would not express they make a connection and then relate to you and are impacted forever.

The mime character is separate from a person personality. Which helps both the mime to be effective and the audience to be affected.

When you step into a mime role you erase ones character and self and then become an open vessel to be used greatly.

The white face of a mime in christian or religious views represent the symbol of death. Dying to ones self.
The markings on the top of the white make up represent symbols of New Life in Christ.
I feel that the red lips represent the blood of Jesus that is always there for us and will always cover us and is with us in the silence.

That is a little of what I feel that a mime role should be approached as. Any one can learn motions to a song but it takes purpose and to be called to silence to become a mime. Is that what God is Calling you to do. Be Silent?
